Maori TV publicist is under fire for calling TV3 reporter a 'douche'

Marion Harker-Smith, a publicist from Maori TV tried to get a movement going when she insulted TV3 reporter David Farrier, calling him a 'douche'.

She commented against a Big Day Out story on the 3 News Facebook page saying "Like if u think David Farrier's a douche." Another user then replied stating that she was a Maori TV employee which then quickly led for the post to be deleted, but not before the screen shot was saved. She is now facing a disciplinary process at work.

David Farrier has come out stating that he is not upset and thinks that Maori TV is an amazing station. 

"I'm not offended by it, people insult me all the time, I'm quite used to it. I just thought, it's unusual coming from a publicist," says Farrier.
