Mike D and Colbert Discuss Hip-Hop Semantics

The hip-hop world and The New York Times have been at each other’s throats this past week.

And okay, while it’s not that hostile, some are mad at Will Shortz, who included “illin’” in last Saturday’s Times crossword.

Shortz’s clue was that the word meant something was wack, but others adamantly disagree.

The Colbert Report welcomed living hip-hop legend Mike D from the Beastie Boys to academically review both sides of the argument alongside host Stephen Colbert.
