Meltdown Returns October 12th to celebrate the release of Manik's highly anticipated new album,'The Cure', bringing a mix of his original melodic, hard funk sound with a fresh progressive take on Hard House synonymous with his unique energetic music well know to clubbers in the hard dance world. The Cure features track collaborations with artists such as NZ vocalist Emma Hand, MC LiL b and various DJ/Producers from Lucy Fur (UK) through to Auckland's own socialite, Weeman. (a crazy person you may have met at RNV one year) featuring on the stomper of a track 'The End of Days'Prepare yourself for a wild journey of pitch bending riffs, chunky off-beat bass lines, and enigmatic melodies that touch on all elements from uplifting to hard. The album also features a track with rap infusion bringing a new taste to Hard House!The Cure is the follow up to Manik’s last album released in late 2009, ‘Quarantine’. “I wanted to expand my production knowledge and mastering capabilities with this new album and really push the boundaries when it comes to the atmospheric conditions of sounds and riffs created with pitch-bends. I also wanted to bring the more progressive groove in my production along with hip hop infusion and vocal collaborations. I am happy with the result to say the least".The Launch Party is being held at The Bacco Room on Nelson Street, Auckland CBD and will feature Manik performing his album showcase live with support from Emma Hand on mic and local support from:
