Turns out going to concerts makes you live longer

If you're always trying to find excuses to spend your rent money on concert tickets, we've just found the best one yet.

According to science (a study by O2 and Goldsmith's University Associate Lecturer Patrick Fagan), you're actually a lot happier, healthier and live longer, the more concerts you go to. So, just 20 minutes of a gig can lead to a 21 percent increase in that feeling of well-being.

The results found that gigs increased feelings of self worth by 25 percent, as well as closeness to others by 25 percent and mental stimulation by 75 percent.

Combining all of our findings with O2's research, we arrive at a prescription of a gig a fortnight which could pave the way for almost a decade more years of life.

So now you never have to feel guilty about spending so much money on concert tickets again?
