Gorillaz announce festival ahead of first album in 7 yearsmusic news
Returning in January with their first new track in six years, Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn told a fan last month that they have finished their new album and are currently rehearsing for a tour:
Gorillaz now continue to tease fans with the announcement of their first performance since 2010 - and it won't just be a concert, they're putting on an entire festival!
Named after their sophmore album, Demon Dayz Festival will take place on the 10th June 2017, at Dreamland theme park in the seaside town of Margate in Kent, England.
Fans will have free access to amusement park rides at the one day festival, with supporting acts to be announced in the coming months.
And for us fans over here in little old NZ who can't make the festival in person, Red Bull TV will be live-streaming the performance. Ideal.
Tickets go on sale 10pm Friday 10th March New Zealand time - you can get all the info here.
