Scarfe – Want What We On – Feat Kings & Mayzin

Meet Scarfe. A Dunedin electronic producer whom I’m predicting huge things for over the coming years. In 2015 he was scrolling through soundcloud looking for a vocalist to complete a track with Texan based rapper Mayzin, and stumbled across a then “emerging” new vocalist / Producer going by the name Kings. After some back and forth via messenger Kings fired through some vocals and thus we now have this awesome future bass single “Want What We On'. This is the feature track on our NZOn Air funded segment called “The Profile”. I caught up with Scarfe in dunedin over the weekend and managed to put together a little background video so you guys can get  an idea of who we are predicting big things for here at George FM.

JOYRYDE – New Breed - Feat Darnell Williams

I’ve been loving JOYRYDE for a while now. His tracks “Maximum King” and “Damn” featuring the legend himself Freddie Gibbs were on solid George FM Nights A-Rotate last year and now he’s teamed up with US Rapper Darnell Williams for this new drop titled “New Breed” which has just dropped on Skrillex’s label Owsla’s brand new HOWSLA compilation. This single goes straight for the jugular with a bass house vibe and is accompanied by one hell of an awesomely shot visual to boot. Check it out below.

IMAGINE THIS – That Feeling

NZ’s very own imagine this is not one to rest on his laurels. Bridging the gap between hip hop, ghetto funk and house he’s been blazing a highly productive musical trail recently. His latest offering “That Feeling” had my head nodding from the first bar. Co-Produced by the man Kings himself, the single boast smooth and spacious beats, before dropping into a bass heavy club banger on par with productions you might expect to hear coming from George FM’s Dan Aux in style. Definitely feeling “That Feeling” here at George HQ.

FRANK OCEAN – Solo – Louis Futon Flip

I’m a relatively big Frank Ocean fan but I turned my nose up at the original of this track. Cue Louis Futon and his impeccable remixing abilities. He touched Kendrick Lamar’s Damn recently and now, on his fan’s recommendation he’s unleashed this awesome re-work of Frank Oceans jam “Solo”. Not only that, but he’s also created a step by step video demonstrating how he made the remix which you can check out online. For now though, let this one build. Turn your headphones up, shut your eyes and let Louis and Frank take you on a journey.

NINAJIRACHI – Same World Feat Yates

I was shocked when I found out Australian Ninajirachi was only 17 years old, yet producing some of the most impressive music coming out of the Aussie scene right now. For her latest single she’s teamed up with Australian singer / songwriter Yates. I first cottoned on to Ninajirachi via old mate Zane Lowe and have been a fan ever since. She’s been on triple J High rotate and now it’s New Zealands turn to get to know one of the most promising young talents to come from across the ditch for quite a while.

MIJA & VINDATA – Better – Electric Mantis Remix

It seems like every couple of weeks im showing you guys something new from Houston Texas based producer Electric Mantis. This guy’s shot to the top of my favourite producers list and for good reason. He’s bloody sick on the buttons. He’s put forward this tasty remix of Skrillex’s middy Mija who teamed up for a colab with Vindata. Again, I wasn’t feeling the original but this remix is fire. Enjoy!
