The new trailer for Stephen King's 'The Mist' is shit-yo'-pants-scary
Stephen King's latest TV adaption 'The Mist' looks fucking terrifying.
The concept, unsurprisingly, is about a freaky, supernatural mist.
The 'mist' takes over a small Summery town, and shit gets real spooky when some freaky creatures lurking inside the mist attack the town's folk.
The majority of the book, originally written in the 80's, is a survival story centred around a large group of people trapped in the town's supermarket.
You might remember the movie that came out in 2007 which mirrored the book pretty closely.
However, in order to turn a 200 page novella into a full blown TV series, it's expected that this upcoming series will differ vastly from the OG book.
One major difference we know already is that we'll be seeing a bunch of other location outside of the Supermarket.
The show creator, Christian Thorpe explained to Entertainment Weekly:
"I wanted to be respectful to the source material, but my feeling was there was already a great adaptation out there by Frank Darabont [the man behind the TV adaptation of The Walking Dead]."
Alyssa Sutherland, better known as Princess bitchface Aslaug from Vikings, is taking a starring role as the school teacher, Eve Copeland. Eve had a thirsty appetite for the D when she was younger and now the small town is all riled up in their misogyny against her.
With Darabont on board, we know this shit is going to get dark AF.
First episode drops on June 22nd on the American station Spike, but we're sure us Kiwis will be able to crank a stream on Putlocker..
