As Hawaiians discovered they weren't about to be hit by a missile, many of them headed to the same place for some much-needed stress relief: Pornhub.

The pornographic website released statistics for the island state's viewing patterns for January 14, the day Hawaiian residents received a false missile alert notification.

The site's activity fell abruptly at 8:07am, right after the alert was sent out. As panic spread across the island, traffic fell 77 percent by 8:23am  meaning, of course, that 23 percent of people using Pornhub in Hawaii at that moment chose to carry on.

News that the alert was a false alarm began circulating fairly soon after the initial notification, but an official message from the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency wasn't sent out until 8:45am.

Interestingly, Pornhub's traffic quickly climbed back up after the missile alert was declared a false alarm.

By 9:01am, just 15 minutes after Hawaiians received confirmation they weren't under attack, page views were almost 50 percent above average.

Traffic stayed higher than normal for the rest of the morning as Hawaii breathed a collective sigh of relief.
