Jesus. Hope every one is ok. The official word from Newshub

A balcony has collapsed at a property in Dunedin's student quarter during a Six60 gig, injuring at least 15 people - some of them seriously.

Police and ambulances are at the scene on Castle St, accessing the property from neighbouring Cumberland St.

"We have sent a number of resources to the scene, four ambulances and a rapid response vehicle," says Ian Henderson, St John Ambulance's South Island communications manager.

"There are a number of patients with various injuries. We are mobilising other resources to assist."

Popular Kiwi band Six60 were performing at 660 Castle St tonight, the address they once resided at and named their band after.

Hundreds of people attended the surprise gig and posted photos to social media.

Newshub understands the band continued to play after the balcony collapse until around 8:40pm, stopping after police ordered them to.

Six60 bass player Chris Mac has stated on Twitter they continued playing because police, security and their 'team' told them to.
