Following 6 years of Saturday nights on George FM with what started as The Guest DJ Show and later to be known as Saturday Night Vinyl, I happily accepted a new home on Tuesday Drive.
Then recently the buggers moved me to Friday nights, so... Hello Party time.

As a youngster I used to spend every dollar I didn't have on music — nothing has changed. My first ever DJ gig played was the Macleans College after ball in August of 1988 at a bar called Ivans (now known as Zen, part of the new Fu Bar). I played records all the way through my time at Auckland University whilst working part time at dance music institutions - 256 Records and Bassline Records with friends and fellow good guys Sample Gee and Sam Hill.

From Auckland Uni to Sydney for 3 years of "hard work" all the while buying records like they were going out of fashion (who knew). Returning to Auckland for a job with record company MCA (later to change name to Universal Music), this was followed by a stint at Sony Music running the New Zealand operation of their Dance Division.

I have held down DJ residencies at many great (and not so great lol) clubs in the Auckland nightlife scene including Alfies, The Box, Site, Cal Neva, Spy Bar, Lenin, Jones Bar, Margaritas, Lenin, Grand Circle, Pony Club and of course Bar 3. I have had the pleasure of being part of some great events over the years with many promoters who should all be applauded for their contributions to growing the dance music community.

One of the most exciting experiences over the years has been releasing a number of CDs which include Shred, Back to Back, Ripe Winter, Ripe Summer, Ripe the House Edition and This is The Remix.

I love my golf, still playing football for Ellerslie and hit a decent tennis ball. I also love my George, it's something I always look forward to, two hours of musical expression to an audience that are appreciative and responsive.

From 8pm — 10pm every Friday tune in and listen to music that moves me and hopefully improves your evening.
