$984 million worth of cocaine found in Germany

NZ$984M worth of nose candy has been seized in Belgium and Germany, with German Customs officials describing it as the biggest quantity of cocaine ever seized in Europe.

The 23.2 ton bust is up there as one of the biggest seizures worldwide.

The Devil’s dandruff was discovered in wall filler containers that were filled with putty and also found in wooden blocks - with over 1700 cans seized.

Dutch prosecutors reckon that the total street value would be around 600 million euros (NZ$984 million). However, the Hamburg customs office believes the value is "several billion euros".

A 28-year-old man in the Netherlands was arrested in connection with the seized shipment, and we think he may struggle to keep his nose clean in this situation.
