Conor McGregor has announced his retirement

Former UFC star Conor 'The Notorious' McGregor has announced his retirement from mixed martial arts via social media.

McGregor tweeted the announcement and capped it with 'Proper Pina Coladas on me fellas!' in true McGregor style.

Since turning making his professional debut as an 18-year-old in 2008, McGregor has become one of the sport's biggest figures and amassed a record of 21 wins and four losses - as well as one famous bout as a boxer.

The 30-year-old last fought in October when he lost to Russian fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov by submission.

McGregor's antics will definitely be missed by UFC fans worldwide!
