We knew our favourite grandfather grandson duo were on their way back for Season 4 sometime this year, but now the creators have given us a date (well a month) to look forward to.
Production began last June, but they've been pretty tight-lipped as to when Rick and Morty Season 4 will be released for our viewing pleasure - until now.
Yeah, November's still a long time away, but at least we know now.
In terms of plot, things are pretty up in the air, but creator Justin Roiland did reveal that the show was signed up for a further 70 episodes - which means years of enjoyment are yet to come.
Roiland, who created the show alongside Dan Harman, said:
"We're super excited that, for the first time ever, we're locked in, we know what the future is, we have job security. Harmon is in great spirits, we have a great writer's room. We want the episodes to stay good, but we do also want to try to turn them around a little quicker now that we have this big order, I think it gives us the ability to be faster,"
"We're not going to do these long breaks, these chasms in between seasons anymore. We're going to schedule vacation time and just keep the machine going. It's going to be really cool."
So yes, another 2 year wait between seasons this time, but the good news is we're 3/4 of the way there this time and won't have to wait this long again!
