After doing a bit of research, a study in the UK has found that the average night out costs approximately £70.56, or close to NZ$140.
The report from The Deltic Group Night Index takes into account pre-drinks, transport, food, drink, entertainment and cover charge for the night.
Of the 2,300 people surveyed, 60.8% claim to go out at least once a week. 58.5% of those surveyed have an idea of how much they want to spend and 21.3% tap out once they hit their spending limit. A vast majority - almost nine in ten people - set a budget of some form.
As for where people prefer to spend their money, 28% of people favour the pub while 32.3% of people spend money at bars and clubs.
