Rock musician by day, electronic musician by night - John Frusciante from Red Hot Chilli Peppers has announced he's dropping a new electronic album.

Frusciante left Red Hot Chilli Peppers back in 2010 to focus on electronic music, specifically acid house.

He later released his first electronic album under his new alias, Trickfinger, and followed his debut album with a single titled She Smiles Because She Presses The Button.

Frusciante has recently returned to the band, saying that re-joining wouldn't stop him from continuing to create electronic music, EDM reports.

The upcoming album, named Maya, is set to release on October 23rd.
