Rhythm & Vines organiser gives an update on this years festival

News 05/11/2021

Rhythm & Vines is still hopeful that the festival will be able to go ahead later this year and confident that they can pull this one off as long as it is safe to do so.

Earlier today, Labour MP Kiri Allan commented that the organisers said that Gisborne needs to be 90% double vaccinated for Rhythm & Vines to go ahead. However, organiser Hamish Pinkham said in an interview,

"Of course, we don't set the health policy but we're taking direction like a lot of promoters and regions in the country. The dreams not over yet, we've got a few weeks to get there. We know there's going to be another big decision and a bit more clarity at the end of the month. It's just a waiting game at our end to see what sort of position the country will be in to hold these sort of events basically."

In their latest Facebook post Rhythm and Vines says that they are still looking at things with a positive mindset while working through the scenarios. The R&V team has been working hard to ensure the festival goes ahead as soon as they're given the green light. Rhythm & Vines also confirmed that they have had some success in 'securing overseas talent'.
