This year's Revolve Festival has been dubbed Fyre Festival 2.0 after chaos ensued in the Californian desert, with celebrities and influencers left without food and water for hours in extreme heat.
The gig - an exclusive, invite-only Coachella event - was marred with complaints of mismanagement, fighting, screaming and waits for transportation so long that some people passed out. Some ticket holders didn’t even make it to the festival, despite paying up to $2000 a pop to attend.
Averie Bishop was one of the influencers invited to the festival and told a disastrous tale in a TikTok where she said that she couldn’t even make it onto one of the shuttles.
"There was pushing, shoving, fighting, yanking people in front of the buses, people standing in between buses while they were moving, just to get on these buses and get to Revolve Festival."
Revolve has apologised for the transportation issues in a statement, insisting they "worked closely" with authorities to "ensure a safe and secure path for guests to attend".
So, how did that work out, team?
"As the festival was reaching capacity late Saturday afternoon, shuttle access to the venue was limited in order to remain in compliance with safety requirements causing longer wait times for entry and resulting in some guests not being able to attend the festival."
Hmm, not so good then.
“We sincerely apologise to all the guests who were impacted."
Basically, huge yikes.
Now, whether or not we can really call this shit show the next Fyre Festival is definitely up for debate - we're not talking soaking wet disaster relief tents and cheese sammies served in foam containers - but still, it hardly seems like it was good vibes.
