The Outrageous Fortune house has been demolished

Lying in the gutter!

Devastating news came out today that the iconic Outrageous Fortune house has been demolished and we’re unsure if anyone will head to Te Atatu now.

“The house itself is starting to need repair, and it’s just not worth spending the money on – it’s pretty dated and old.” Paul Berry, a salesman from Barfoot & Thompson told Stuff.

The west Auckland house was used in all 12 seasons of Outrageous Fortune and Westside. Fans regularly went by the infamous house to take selfies and we can only imagine how guttered Tammy is.

Plans to subdivide the house were announced last year but only this week was the West’s house torn down. The plan is to build seven townhouses on the property so if you’re wanting a piece of history prices are starting around $689,000 according to OneRoof.

“I think there's something symbolic in this demolition and replacement for housing. Our community is growing and changing and forming a new diverse identity.” Waitakere Councillor Shane Henderson said.

Rest in peace Outrageous Fortune house, you did us proud.
