Instagram has just announced it will be launching a brand new feature on the app to solidify it’s spot in the ever-growing competition of social media platforms. The new feature is called IGTV, in which users can now upload videos of up to an hour long.
This will be an accessible button on Instagram’s home-screen, and a standalone app, which much like the Instagram “discovery” page, will highlight influencer and creator videos, as well as the general public.
IGTV let’s anyone be a “creator”, but initially won’t be available to smaller accounts. It will eventually be available to ALL users further down the rollout plan.
Best part about it? There’ll be no ads… YET.
