Illenium is backing a new Suicide Prevention Campaign and it's pretty fucking dope

music news 18/10/2018

With the tragic loss of Avicii earlier this year being a cruel reminder that a lot of people, whether they're close to us or artists we look up to, are currently suffering with mental health.

The amount of support from high profile figures to back campaigns and awareness on mental health and suicide prevention has been immense, with likely people like Kygo (who was a close friend of Avicii) even donating $30,000 toward the cause for Suicide Prevention Day earlier this year.

The latest face of EDM to come out and support is Illenium, who has released a statement announcing he's backing a brand new campaign called #Awake.

This is pretty fitting considering Illenium released a track earlier this year which touched on his own personal struggles with mental health and anxiety.

We rate any support toward mental health, so we rate this Illenium!

How. Fucking. Cool.
