A petition has been created to erect a statue of late Prodigy frontman Keith Flint in his hometown of Braintree in Essex, England.
Flint passed in early March aged 49, with the Prodigy confirming the news on social media.
“It is with deepest shock and sadness that we can confirm the death of our brother and best friend Keith Flint,” their statement read.
“A true pioneer, innovator and legend. He will be forever missed. We thank you for respecting the privacy of all concerned at this time.”
The petition has already garnered close to 8,000 signatures at the time of writing, and hopes to give Braintree an opportunity "to pay homage and honour its most famous son."
"The plan will be when it reaches a monumental amount of signatures to present it to the council and see what they maybe able to discuss/contribute," petition creator Saphya Gower wrote. "It’s early days but hopefully the outcome will be the right one."
Elsewhere, South London's POW Brixton has announced 'Warrior's Dance,' a fundraiser in honour of Flint.
The party takes place on March 30 and will raise funds for mental health charity Music Minds Matter.
