Flume's iconic 2016 track "Never Be Like You" has just received the honour of one billion global streams and has officially been recognised by the Australasian Performing Right Association and Australasian Mechanical Copyright Owners Society.
The track is the latest addition to The 1,000,000,000 List which features tracks from Australasian artists that have racked up one billion streams.
The group is pretty exclusive at the moment, with Flume just the third member joining songwriter Nat Dunn for Marshmello's “Friends” and Dean Lewis for “Be Alright.”
“Flume’s songwriting and production has had a huge influence on how music sounds, and his success has opened the doors for his fellow Australian music creator,” APRA AMCOS chief executive Dean Ormston said.
“Through his songs, he has connected to fans all over the world and we congratulate Harley on achieving a position on The 1,000,000,000 List.”
Flume said, “I’m honored to have found out the song hit one billion streams a few weeks ago.”
