Kendrick Lamar has apparently finished recording a new rock-influenced album he plans on dropping sometime this year.
The new project will be the Compton rapper's first full-length effort since Pulitzer Prize-winning DAMN which was released in 2017.
The latest info on the upcoming album comes from Billboard columnist Bill Werde, who revealed on Twitter the project is “pulling in more rock sounds.”
However, we have to not get too excited, as Werde later added that “just because recording had hit a point where folks believe it may be finished — albums go back to the studio all the time after this point, and for a million different reasons.”
Still, any new Kendrick is something worth getting excited about! Here's hoping we get some new music soon.
