Throw your headphones in the bin, the future is here.

A new device that could be the next step in the audio experience has launched, and it requires absolutely no physical connection.

The Noveto Systems SoundBeamer can reportedly create a personalized sound bubble, broadcasting music directly into the listener's HEAD - with no one around the user hearing any of the sounds coming from the device.

Feedback from early demos report that the sound feels like a complete 360° experience. Product Manager Ayana Wallwater recently held a demo showing off the technology which you can watch above.

“Most people just say, ‘Wow, I really don’t believe it,’" Wallwater stated. “You don’t believe it because it sounds like a speaker, but no one else can hear it…it’s supporting you and you’re in the middle of everything. It’s happening around you.”

The company sees multiple applications for the product, including using it for office work, casual listening and gaming. They also plan on incorporating the technology with home movie theaters, personal vehicles, and more.

The company anticipates the product will arrive for sale in late 2021, so we've got a little while to wait - here's hoping it's worth it!
