The Simpsons creator is launching a Game of Thrones inspired Netflix series
When your two best friends finally meet!?
Mastermind behind The Simpsons, Matt Groening is launching a new Netflix series that's taking some Game of Thrones-fantasy inspiration, some comedy, mixing it all up and calling it Disenchantment.
The series will follow a boozehag princess living in a shitty medieval world known as Dreamland.
In a statement, Groening said "Disenchantment will be about life and death, love and sex, and how to keep laughing in a world full of suffering and idiots, despite what the elders and wizards and other jerks tell you."
And with Abbi Jacobson of Broadcity set to be the star, and Eric Andre cast as her personal "demon" this sounds like it could well be the best thing Netflix has EVER done.
They've order 20-episodes so far, with the first 10 expected to premiere next year.
Cheers to Newshub, for putting me on to this one.
