Shit. Shapeshifter know how to throw a party.

The boys premiered their new album, Stars, inside a cosmic cube, on the roof of the Auckland museum, whilst an astrological light projection was blasted on to all four sides of their boxed stage.

Cheers to Volume and Spark for putting on the night!

And all we heard was straight fire.

Of course the first two singles are essentially summer anthems already.

Other highlights on the album include; Oculus. With it's obscenely catchy piano hook, Oculus channels a surprisingly indie feel for Shapey - and you just can't not dance to it.

The liquid vibes on the tracks Eternal and Drive. Damn son.

And when they dropped Fake Charmer, the entire crowd was head banging in a drum & bass frenzy.

You know it's a tuuune when that happens.

George DJs, Benny Boy and Hamish Crocker, bookended the exclusive show with DJ sets out the back end of the Auckland Museum.

There was a Heineken bar that literally LIT UP when your fingers touched it.

Some delicious Rogue Society Gin cocktails were floating about.

Also free food.

Fuck yeah. Who doesn't love a catered party?

We have vague memories of sushi being a go... but we were busy sinking Heinys next to the fancy bread and dips.

Who doesn't love fancy bread and dips?
Anyway. It was really cool.

Soooo for those who missed out you can maybe try live the experience vicariously through this album.

Meanwhile for all the lucky George listeners who scored tickets, here's all the photographic evidence you'll need of your ridiculously awesome night.
