Snapchat's CEO doesn't seem to give a shit about us hating on the new update
Snapchat took something we loved, like our streaks, or the time we'd spend on the toilet looking through all our friends stories, and through it all away after completely redesigning the layout of their app.
While we've had to put up with the pain of the new design for months, the rest of the world were only updated last week and since then, everyone's been hitting up Snapchat on social media asking them to change things back to the way they were.
Good news is that Snapchat's CEO, Evan Spiegel, has heard our feedback but the bad news? He doesn't give a fuck. In Fact, seeing all our angry reactions is actually making him happy... What kinda sick bastard are we dealing with here.
At Golman Sachs's Internet and Technology Conference in San Francisco, Evan said that time is all people need to come to like the new update:
We’re excited about what we’re seeing so far, The best part is that even some of the complaints we’re seeing reinforce the philosophy (behind the design).
Steven also talked about the thing we hate most; that your friends stories are now on the same side as your chats:
One of the complaints we got was 'Aww...I used to feel like this celebrity was my friend, and now they don't feel like my friend anymore.' And we're like, 'Exactly. They're not your friend.' So for us even some of the frustrations we're seeing really validate those changes.
So from the sounds of things, Snapchat isn't looking to change their app anytime soon, even though that's what everyone wants, so for now, you can find us over on Insta Stories @georgefmnz.
