'Please NZ Parliament': Fred Again begs for help getting Kiwi DJ Messie to 'biggest show ever'

Make it happen @ChrisLuxon.

Fred Again tore it up at Coroglen Tavern last night, and the Kiwi DJ supporting him seems to have made a massive impression on him.

Tessa Hills, AKA Messie, is a Wellington-based artist who was blessed to open for the British DJ at the gig. She's a killer talent, so it’s well-deserved.

Fred was so impressed with her that he wants her to support him on the final show of his tour Down Under, but she doesn’t have her passport. So, he took to his news bulletin of an IG story and begged the powers that be to do something.

Tagging NZ Parliament, he wrote: “Yesterday we met Messie, an incredible human from your great city of Wellington.”

“After seeing her play at the Corgolen Tavern last night I went straight up to her and invited her to play with us at our show on Saturday, the last show of this whole tour and the biggest one we’ll have ever done.”

“Messie said she was down,” he continued. “But this morning we’ve learned that she hasn’t got a passport currently and with Friday being a bank holiday, there is no way for her to get one in time for her flight on Friday.”

“Is there anybody that can help expedite this to make this absolute dream possible? Please, please and thank you (and sorry for being so last minute),” he finished.

Well Luxy? Time to make some shit happen. National could not only get in the good books of one of the biggest DJs in the world, but would also make some dreams come true.

Our PM did post a TikTok asking for Fred tickets the other day so surely he’s in the loop on this one.

In the meantime, everyone here at George is praying to the dance gods that Messie can get on that flight.
