One of Auckland’s fastest-rising stars in the House DJ scene and one of our own resident DJ’s Pixie Lane, has launched into the world of music production with longtime friend Kazi Flip to release their debut single ‘Frequency’ and they are not stopping there with there with a full debut EP set to be released by early 2023.
Frequency (feat. Rose) is an inspiring, elevating track that gives you a sense of freedom. With a driving baseline, Rose’s angelic voice and the inclusion of empowering spoken words like “This is your dance floor” it’s easily a hand raiser and a dance floor starter. Pixie and Kazi said “The inspiration for this track started with the idea that music can give you an escape and create inclusion. We wanted this song to create a moment on the dance floor, it’s really about forgetting everything that’s going on in your day to day and enjoying the music with those around you”
With a full summer tour on the horizon, such as the George Fm Summer Tour, Rhythm & Vines, Bay Dreams and with even more new music on the way, Pixie Lane and Kazi Flip are definitely not slowing down! “In the extended version of Frequency with the intro we have put little snippets of our other songs that are on our EP, which is a nice little insight of what's due to come and can’t wait to have them out, so stay tuned!”
