Black Ferns' centre Stacey Fluhler has shared a video of a passionate mass haka performed at her uncle’s funeral.
She shared the video of the massive crowd partaking in the Māori tradition to her TikTok, where it has gained 32 thousand likes and over 450 thousand views at the time of writing.
“When people ask you what’s so special about being Māori? This!!! Our culture 🖤,” Fluhler writes in the caption.
“This right here doesn’t happen anywhere else in the world,” the caption continues.
“100s of younger and older people performing a mass haka with so much mana & passion to send a loved one above 🕊 Fly high uncle 🤍.”
Comments on the TikTok loved the video and display of respect for a lost family member.
“As a non-Māori Kiwi, the special thing about being a Kiwi is getting to see Māori culture as much as I want,” says one comment.
“I honestly love Māori people they give so much love to their culture,” another person commented.
“I can't get enough of this!” a third added.

Stacey Fluhler deserves a haka or two in her honor. Not just for scoring a try in last year’s Women’s Rugby World Cup semi-final AND final on the way to winning the trophy as well as the nation’s heart.
But also for when she was 15 and on a bus full of other school children when it crashed. Fluhler managed to call the police while still on the bus and even helped a lot of injured children off the bus. Legend since day one.
