A multinational drug bust has resulted in the seizure of $61M worth of MDMA.
The Australian Border Force announced Tuesday that two men - a 33-year-old Canadian and a 30-year-old Australian - have been arrested for allegedly smuggling 645 kilograms of MDMA inside aluminum barbecues.
The haul was the biggest shipment by weight seized in Australia this year. According to The Australian, $300,000 cash and 3.5 kg of cocaine were also seized.
The investigation covered Cyprus, Australia and the UK and took place over six months.
