Get ready to say goodbye to all those livestreams you saw popping up over lockdown.
Facebook's about to make it harder on DJ's livestreaming to their site with a set of new rules specific to everyone using copyrighted music.
The new rules, which will come in to affect as of October 1st, reads:
"You may not use videos on our Products to create a music listening experience … If you use videos on our Products to create a music listening experience for yourself or for others, your videos will be blocked and your page, profile or group may be deleted. This includes Live."
TBH DJ Livestreams are already going against Facebook rules unless you've got specific permission from the record label so it'll be interesting to see how strictly they'll be enforcing this new rule as of next month.
To avoid getting your page deleted, you could use Mixcloud Live, a new subscription platform that's been specifically built for DJ's and their mixes.
