‘Just a scratch’: Kiwi UFC weapon Dan Hooker breaks wrist in middle of hectic UFC 290 fight

Another X-Ray revealed he got that DAWG in him.

Kiwi battler Dan Hooker broke his wrist during his recent UFC fight against Jalin Tuner, in which he took about a million blows that would forever change the bone structure of the average man's face.

Hooker won the lightweight division dog fight by split decision. He definitely earned the W after absolutely eating the 100 significant strikes that Turner landed on him, including one gnarly head kick in the second round.

After being crowned winner, Hooker was asked by ringside commentator Joe Rogan if his right arm was broken at some point in the fight, as he had barely moved the limb once the fight wrapped up.

After first brushing it off as “just a scratch”, Hooker would later post an X-ray to his socials that shows a fractured wrist.

His platinum hair turned pink from his and Turner’s blood, Hooker also shared with Rogan his thoughts on his opponent before providing an incredible quote about himself.

“He’s a tough kid,” he said of the 28-year-old Turner. “He’s got a big future. I respect him a lot I respect his team.”

“I’m just so appreciative of everyone’s support and everyone that’s stuck by me and knew I was gonna come out the other side.”

"Tough times don't last, Dan Hooker does."

Hooker vs Turner was just one highlight of an action-packed UFC card. Another Kiwi, Israel Adesanya, went viral after gate-crashing South Africa fighter Dricus Du Plessis’ post-win interview.

In a moment straight out of WWE, Adesanya walked into the octagon as Du Plessis was celebrating his massive TKO victory over Australian legend Robert Whittaker.

Adesanya and Du Plessis exchanged plenty of words as they got in each other's grills. Du Plessis has called out Adesanya in the past for not being a “true African” so the beef has been brewing.

Du Plessis will likely be Adesanya’s next challenger for his middleweight champion belt in what will be a sure-fire spectacle of a fight, even if no one breaks their arm.
