As Kiwis, we're not really all that fussed about fine-dining, but start chatting about a finger-lickin' new spot and we're keen to hear about it.
Kiwi chef Hercules Noble is pulling a Colonel, opening a pop-up restaurant called Mr. Sanders, and he reckons it's a dining experience that's anything but your usual fast food scene.
Look as long as the grease is wiped off the table, I'd say it’s a pretty fancy experience.
Hercules will be turning the fried chook classics into a five-course set menu to tuck right into.
While he’s keeping the menu on the down low for now, Hercules hinted: “Without giving too much away, one of the hero dishes will feature fan-favourite Hot & Crispy Boneless, but unlike you’ve ever had it before.”
“I’m experimenting with ways to infuse my iconic ‘Will It Sourdough’ bread with the flavours of KFC Potato & Gravy,” he added.
It’ll all be going down at a discreet location on Ponsonby Road between March 20th and 22nd.
Spots will be going for $99 or $129 for wine matching option with the feed.
And I guess it's easier forking out so much knowing all that cash will be going to Surf Life Saving NZ.
Now, I just gotta know if Hercules is bringing back the Krusher from the dead. If so, can it be for good?!
