Avicii’s family are launching the Tim Bergling Foundation following the musician's decision to take his own life last year.
According to Associated Press, the foundation will “initially focus on supporting people and organizations in the field of mental illness and suicide prevention. It also will be active in climate change, nature conservation and endangered species.”
The foundation will initially be based in Avicii's home country of Sweden, but may expand over time.
Avicii retired from touring in 2016, citing stress and poor mental health as the cause. He took his own life in April 2018.
He first rose to prominence with his 2011 single 'Levels.'
