Swedish House Mafia reportedly set to release first new music in nine years

music news 12/07/2021

Swedish House Mafia haven't toured for almost two years and haven't released any new music as a trio since 2012 - but that could be set to change very soon.

A source for music outlet Proximity has “confirmed” that the group - consisting of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso - is releasing a new record this week.

While plenty of new music has been played out by the trio during their last run of live shows and there have been reports of new music for a while, we haven't actually had a release since the seminal 'Don't You Worry Child'.

Along with Proximity sharing the report of a new record, they shared an image of a mysterious poster baring the prospective release date.

It could be anything to be honest but let's cross our fingers for a new release by the end of the week!
