They say don't touch a classic... but what if you put a donk on it?
The enigmatic and mysterious NZ dance music figure Donk Dobbo - the anonymous persona of an ex-rugby union star 'notorious for his donk remixes of NZ nostalgic tracks such as "The Bunnings Warehouse Theme"' - has given Hello Sailor's Gutter Black an upbeat donk flip.
The original track became synonymous with seminal Kiwi TV show Outrageous Fortune, where it was the theme tune for 107 episodes (and one two-hour movie), which starred none other than our own Tammy Davis from George Breakfast as the much-loved always-high handyman Munter.
General Lee caught wind of the remix and thought it's only right that we got old mate Tammy to react.
'That'd get the old bourbon and coke can shaking,' General said, while Tammy couldn't wipe the grin off his face.
'Oh that's good as. Keep playing it Gen. Chuck it on rotate!' was what Munter had to say.
Safe to say it gets the tick of approval! Check out their full reaction below.
