It's always an interesting day when Major Lazer drop a new music video.
Their past array of music videos have gone from exotic locations to extended narratives, all taking on a life of their own.
This morning they dropped the music video for their latest single 'Cold Water' featuring vocals from both Justin Bieber and MO. The video is a collage of black and white clips pulled together from live shows, backstage, and life on the road. A tried and true concept that's been done time and time again, not that it matters.
Interestingly Bieber was absent. MO pops up during her featuring segment of the tune, but this may be due to her touring with the group last year when their tune 'Lean On' was the biggest tune of the year.
Media outlets are putting his absence down to him being too busy to make any cameo appearances due to his own hectic touring schedule. Some have gone as far to say it's because of his own bad luck with the tune, where he has reportedly been performing an acoustic version of the song and forgetting the words.
The song is also overshadowed by his other collaboration with DJ Snake which is climbing up the charts.
Either way, it comes down to 'who cares?' The video is still dope, with or without. Check it out above.
