Looking for a new festie? How about skydiving out of a g-damn plane at techno gig Skyfest

Talk about the perfect drop.

A brand new festival is hitting the scene this year, offering ravers an opportunity to combine techno and skydiving - that’s what we call a real drop.

This month, San Diego’s Skyfest will be taking place, mixing up some major tunes for those who want to get their hearts racing and bodies dropping to what can only be described as the ultimate adrenaline junky test.

It does seem rather exclusive though, as the event can only hold a max of 200 ravers.

According to Skyfest, each participant will get the chance to jump out of the sky and land their feet “just a few dozen yards away from the dance floor.”

That has got to be the most exciting festie pres.

The scenes will be pretty epic too with art installations, food trucks, a celebratory beer garden and a display of parachutes all around the festival.

Surely there’s something similar we could do here in Aotearoa. Imagine jumping out and witnessing the beauty below with a well-deserved celebratory beer.

Sounds like a bit of me.

Oh, and if you do treat yourself to a festy coming up, our very own GeorgeFm Drive hosts Sin and Brooke have shared their advice on how to enjoy the festie season.
