UK Singer Tallia Storm thinks over 40’s should be banned from clubbing!

A musician has explained that she thinks people over the age of 40 should be banned from going to nightclubs.

A musician has explained that she thinks people over the age of 40 should be banned from going to nightclubs.

According to Tallia Storm, it's 'cringe' and 'uncomfortable' to watch older people in clubs but is “all for” people living their best lives.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Tallia explained: "I'm 22 years old, I'm only just coming into my prime. I do not want to walk into the club and see my dad, see my dad's friends or even my grandad cutting some shapes.”

Talia went on to explain that she would be open to the idea of a 'separate place' for the over-50s and 60s to 'cut some shapes' but she's just not sure that the environment is 'in sync' for both young people trying to have fun and enjoy themselves, and those in the older categories.

We aren’t sure what the UK crowd is like but here in NZ, we love EVERYONE (18+) getting amongst the nightlife!

She added: "Speaking from my own experience, the 50-year-olds and 60-year-olds, they're not there to dance. From my own experience, it's kind of cringe, it's kind of creepy, they're judging, they're staring at me and I just want to have some fun."

Broadcaster Tony Blackburn hit back at the 22-year-old and said that the suggestion to ban over the 40s is 'ridiculous'.

The 78-year-old said: "If you took this to extremes and banned people over the age of 40 from being in a club, how about all those people in Ibiza, all the DJs there. They're over 40, do you stop them from performing? It's ridiculous."

You know what Tony - We agree!

Tallia can have fun in the kiddies area of Maccas.

We will leave the clubbing to the adults who don’t care about age and are down to ‘cut shapes’ with the rest of us!
