WATCH: Reese Walsh goes viral in the US for catching an absolute dot of a pass from Tom Brady

Good to know Walshy can throw and catch forward passes.

Reece Walsh, of former One NZ Warriors fame, has been going viral in the US after catching a screamer of a pass from Mr NFL GOAT Tom Brady.

Enjoying retirement, Brady spent the past week on a speaking tour of Australia. Midway through the event at Brisbane Showgrounds over the weekend, host JT Foxx pointed out to Brady that Walsh, who now plays for the Brisbane Broncos, is a serious sporting talent that would earn massive coin if he switched to the NFL.

Eventually, Walsh got out of his seat and ran across the convention centre as Brady threw a clean pass to him. As the young NRL star caught the ball, the room erupted.

According to the Herald Sun, the 21-year-old received a signed football from Brady for his efforts. He told the publication that the night wasn’t all fun and games, but also a peek into the mindset of someone who’s achieved everything possible in their sport.

“Not every day you get to see Tom Brady talk and then get to catch a ball and get it signed,” Walsh said.

“How he applied himself every day and his mentality … for myself, being at a younger age, it’s good to listen and hear one of the best players talk about his mindset and how he tackled every day.”

Walsh will need to embrace every single bit of that mindset on the 29th of June this year. That’s when he’ll be going up against his former team, the mighty One NZ Warriors.

Of course, he won’t have Brady throwing him dimes to help him out, but he’s been known to get away with a nice forward pass here or there.
