LISTEN: Fred Again’s new album ‘Actual Life 3’ is finally out

The wait is over.

Fred Again has finally dropped his highly anticipated third album ‘Actual Life 3 (January 1 - September 9 2022).

Listen to the thirteen-track, forty-minute-long project below.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been waiting for this day ever since I watched Fred’s Boiler Room set for the first time.

It’s now the most viewed Boiler Room set of all time, and for good reason - it fucking rocks.

Give it another watch below.

The Actual Life 3 rollout was pretty unique, but not surprising if you’re familiar with Fred.

Every week or so Fred would drop a new single from the album. Along with a post on his socials where Fred would get deep and share the meaning behind the song. He’d open up about his anxiety, the love he has for people in his life, and more stuff that you don’t often get from artists.

Fred had an hour-long interview with ex-pat Kiwi radio host Zane Lowe for Apple Music that was released a day before the album came out. Lowe always gets the best out of his interviews and Fred is no different.

“Fred talks about the titling convention, explaining that his albums have functioned as personal journals for him,” the caption of the interview reads.

“Fred also touches on the importance of family, particularly in his latest record. The conversation reflects on Fred's rising popularity during the pandemic and the experience of playing live.

“Fred and Zane also discuss Fred's relationship with Brian Eno, and how the pair have helped one another grow as artists.”

You can catch Fred live at Laneway in January 2023,  proudly presented by George. We had to move to a bigger venue due to popularity (originally sold out in just 90 minutes), but lucky for you, there are new tickets available to buy. Get in quick team.
