Dillon Francis cracks up while ‘edging’ the crowd with Fred Again track six different times

"It's never gonna happen."

Dillion Francis has found his own way to have some fun from the booming success of Fred Again.

Six times throughout his set at Time Nightclub in Orange Country, California, Dillion teased the crowd with a tiny snippet of Fred’s massive tune with Swedish House Mafia and Future ‘Turn On The Lights again’.

Dillon posted a video of the little prank - in which he cannot stop giggling - to his socials with the writing “Edging the crowd with Fred Again 6 times…” written over the footage.

There were a few comments thinking it was pretty crack-up (evidenced by bunch of laughing emojis), but a lot more people voiced their displeasure with the gimmick.

"You’re my favourite," one fan commented.

"Holy smokes this is fantastic," another peson put it.

“This is why, after years, I don’t go to his shows anymore,” wrote one person. “We come for a fun party not to sit down or get trolled by the DJ.”

“Feel bad for all the people there, yikes…” said another.

“Ima be real, nobody likes that ish. Just mix professionally,” a third added.

“Douche move,” said one more. “Crowds want a vibe, not this disjointed crap.”

Although he wasn't pranking like Dillion was, Fred Again was still having fun with his Kiwis fans on his recent trip here,

There was a bit of a scare when Fred posted stories implying he might not make it to NZ, but he did. After a six-hour delay in Sydney, he made it to Welly, landing at 1am. Waiting for him was a bunch of dedicated fans ("absolute beautiesssssss" as Fred calls them) who he snapped a pic with.

On his day off in the capital, Fred not only did a surprise gig for fans but also played chess with Welly locals and even joined a pub quiz team, what a guy.
